CONNECTING OPPORTUNITIES

THE FUTURE

As the "East Meets West Project" is not intended to be a one off , there will be more opportunities for musicians and artists to exchange their ideas and set up collaboration projects.

China is a gigantic country that has over five thousand years of continuous civilisation, a culture so rich in tradition. are waiting for people around the world to explor. Since China opened it's doors to the outside world, people in China are eager to learn from the outside, and are trying to understand western culture.

Music is an universal language. It plays an important part of culture exchange and understanding. Using this revolutionary technology, the communication between musicians in the east and the west is just as easy as face to face.

This website will act as a place for musicians to contact each other, exchange information about projects, plans, events, and opportunities in both China and the UK. Its for everyone who has an interest in the technology and wants to find out the latest development.

If you have any kind of questions please do not hesitate to send them to our experts.

The technology itself will have many future significants:

· Film, TV, Radio soundtracks
Soundtracks for Film, TV, and Radio are often the final stage of production. As such, there is often a limited amount of time and resources to devote to this crucial piece of the project. Imagine you are a UK film music composer who writes a piece of music involving a Chinese orchestra, or a Chinese composer in China looking for a jazz band. The technology is just the kind of help you will ever need. You will no longer need to worry about the limitation of time, the costs of recording including renting a local studio, travel and ISDN lines. With any modem-equipped laptop, and a reasonable microphone you can simply log on and finish the project online anywhere in the world. Also, don't forget you no longer have to be wait for the other guy to finish his task before you can have access to the files. Rocket supports multiple users at one time. The files are dynamically updated preventing versioning issues.

· Music Recordings
In today’s world of music recordings, a significant amount of time is spent hanging around. In a physical studio, very rarely are all parts recorded at the same time. The lead guitar waits while the drummer’s part is finalised. The singer waits while the guitarist lays down a track. Now the scenario is quite different. There is no need for each person to wait. Instead, people can contribute to the project at a time that suits them. Because the project is stored in a secure server network, co-workers can contribute anytime, from anywhere. Everyone can access the same file simultaneously and all contributors get dynamic updates as changes are made. Imagine different people can work on the same project in different time zones and different times to suit what they want.

· Soundtrack for Broadband Media
In the next phase of the Internet’s evolution, broadband content will appeal not only to the eye, but also to the ear. Broadband content will need to be refreshed at a much greater rate than traditional content and therefore will not tolerate the length of time necessary to create audio using physical studios. Instead, media designers and developers can use this technology, a much more efficient alternative. Changes and updates can be made almost instantaneously, helping a website, Interactive TV channel, advertising projects or Multimedia Game developer maintain fresh content.

· New collaboration projects
This technology will make a big impact for musicians and artists around the world to work together despite where they are and when they are available. No more problems looking for talent or fresh ideas in anywhere around the world to collaborate projects.
